Pregnancy is like being in a roller coaster! There is new life growing inside of you. Everything is changing. Your hormones are raging. Your body is changing daily. It is a time of wonder and joy but also of pregnancy emotions like stress, anxiety and insecurities. I personally found out what to do during pregnancy to control my emotions.
For me it’s already making a difference just taking some time every day to focus on my breathing. I continue doing my meditations throughout my pregnancy. I believe pregnancy meditation helps to increase the feeling of connecting with your baby and to feel more empowered as a future mother to be able to raise and nourish my little angel. It helps me to give more confidence and strength.
Pregnancy and stress
For a happy and healthy pregnancy using meditation can be an important part of your day because it helps you to reduce stress and decrease anxiety. Meditation is effective in reducing high blood pressure, reducing morning sickness, heartburn, lack of sleep, improving pain tolerance and helps your mood to be balanced.
Deep relaxation for pregnancy is a guided meditation from Angel Meditations which allows the mother to improve her mind and to be able to deal with the daily stresses and the stress of childbirth. Actually, both mother and baby benefit from doing daily meditation. Anxiety and pregnancy is a bad combination, it creates high levels of stress, which can affect the body. Meditation can help lower a mother’s stress level significantly.
You may not feel different during just one single session. But you will experience the physical and psychological benefits of meditation if you engage in meditation regularly over a period of time.
Healthy Mind, Healthy Baby
Meditating daily with the use of guided meditations helps me in preparation for birth. Prenatal meditation through guided meditations or meditating by yourself is very useful in preparing yourself for the childbirth. Many woman use meditation during labour as this will help them to keep focused and to let go of any fears. You will have more control and power and as you learn to do deep breathing this will help you to reach a state of deep relaxation that reduces the pain during the labour. Which is the key in achieving an easy and empowering birthing experience.
Even after childbirth meditation can help you in increasing milk production and prevent you from postpartum depression. Meditation helps you to be in the moment and to love yourself and your little angel unconditionally.
Connecting with your baby
Bonding with your baby doesn’t have to wait until birth. Research shows that babies can hear, learn and remember while still in the womb.
As your baby is conceived out of love, its important to give your baby the feeling that he or she is cared for and very loved even during the pregnancy. As the mother or the father of your baby you can start connecting with your baby already through touch, sounds and relaxation. When you take your time while sitting peacefully or during a meditation and sending your thoughts and love to your baby you are already bonding and creating a stronger connection. When you deepening your connection to your baby during the pregnancy it has benefits for both baby, mother and father. Your baby will feel loved and nurtured and this will help your relationship later on after the birth when you face many new challenges as parents.
